You can disable some (or all) of these annoyances to silence Avast. It’ll scan your machine from top to bottom, detect any and all malware, and scrub it from your system.
With your response, I will uninstall Avast Free and see if that takes care of the probkem. The only thing I had was Avast Free (which didn't have antivirus) which was on my Pc when I got it. With that and the email signature inserting which I SWEAR i turned off I got sick of Avasts shit and I removed it to replace it with Bitdefender free. I spent an hour troubleshooting before I found out Avast was the culprit. Select a folder and add or remove it: To add a folder, click Protect new folder, select the folder you want to protect, and then click OK. I used Avast for a while until it quarantined Okami HD on launch.
When the Avast window opens, at the bottom it should say “My Avast” and “Settings” Click on “Settings” In the new window, find the item that says Block ad tracking by default, and click to remove the check mark.
